Mr. Ketlinski has been practicing law for over 25 years in Idaho. Although his legal background is extensive and diverse, he now limits his practice to estate planning, elder law, and probate.

Mr. Ketlinski has lived in Idaho since 1977. He attended Boise schools and graduated from Borah High School in 1989. He then earned a bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the University of Idaho in 1994 and a law degree in 1997.

After law school, Mr. Ketlinski served as a judicial clerk for then-District Judge Daniel T. Eismann, who later became Chief Justice of the Idaho Supreme Court. Following his clerkship, Mr. Ketlinski worked for four years as an associate attorney, focusing primarily on civil municipal litigation, as well as general civil defense and family law. He then continued his municipal litigation practice with the City of Boise and began prosecuting criminal offenses. During his tenure, he conducted numerous jury trials and hundreds of court trials.

In 2005, Mr. Ketlinski co-founded the law firm Ketlinski, Massoth, Rebholtz & Soper in Caldwell, Idaho. During this time, he expanded his practice to include estate planning and probate, in addition to civil litigation and family law.

In 2009, Mr. Ketlinski joined the Canyon County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office as a senior staff attorney in the Civil Division. He handled municipal litigation for elected officials and worked on a wide range of civil matters, including tax appeals, child protection, mental health commitments, and termination of parental rights cases. He has appeared before both the Idaho Supreme Court (Kimbrough v. Idaho Bd. of Tax Appeals, 150 Idaho 417 (2011)) and the Idaho Court of Appeals (Idaho Dept. of Health and Welfare v. Doe, 148 Idaho 832 (Ct. App. 2010)).

In late 2010, Mr. Ketlinski transitioned to the Criminal Division of the Canyon County Prosecutor’s Office, where he eventually became Unit Chief of both the CAPP Division (Crimes Against Persons and Property) and the Alpha Unit, prosecuting a full range of criminal cases. He tried dozens of felony jury trials, including homicide, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, robbery, and other major violent crimes, with a particular focus on elder abuse cases.

Mr. Ketlinski was a three-time recipient of the challenge coin award for trial excellence and received an outstanding service award upon leaving the Canyon County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

In 2015, Mr. Ketlinski founded Ketlinski Law Office, PLLC in Meridian, Idaho. Drawing on his passion for helping people plan for their futures, he now focuses exclusively on estate planning, elder law, and probate. He is a member of the premier national groups WealthCounsel® and ElderCounsel®, as well as the Idaho State Bar’s Taxation, Probate, and Trust Section, where he previously served as president.

Outside of his legal career, Mr. Ketlinski’s interests are equally diverse. He is a grand champion barbecue contest winner, a first-degree black belt in Songham Taekwondo, and an ultra-distance bikepacking racer. He is also a USA Cycling Category 4 road racer—proudly known as one of Idaho’s slowest racers. Since 2021, he has competed in the Idaho Senior Games in road racing and mountain biking, earning three gold medals in 2021–2022 (as the only competitor in his age group). In 2023, he won the 20k road race overall but returned to last place in 2024.

Mr. Ketlinski lives in Meridian, Idaho with his wife, Kelli, their two children, and three dogs (Leila, Oskar, and Bruno).
